(Suggested Listening: “The voice in your ear, seductively whispering blog.wearemjr.com” by me)
Although not a complete abandonment of my beloved street photo/metropolitan scouring/high heel chasing greenhouse, all my newest photos will be posted in weekly collections alongside Rob August, Mustafah Abdulaziz, Sean Flanigan, and Julius Metoyer @ http://blog.wearemjr.com . dont sleep, because sleep is the cousin of death (nas nas, nasty nas). instead.. neglect your work, family and sleep. impatiently refresh that link. never forget the first rush. remember how good it felt? that first rush of blood from retina to cortex. all it takes is one hit:

Suggested Listening: “Soulshine” by DJ Cam
As always.. my lack of activity can be attributed to: work, school, shooting. (ed. note: sleep not listed)
Love that Soulshine record though.
These past few weeks have been excellent to me, but who are we kidding. 2007 has been a good one. This past weekend was the VII seminar in dena. 7 of the 9 photographers.. some really dedicated staff members and a few exceptional alumni interns.. a dash of boogie, marcus bleasdale, and jessica dimmock .. check.
dena sunshine. check.
lady, friends, family. check.

had the chance to see Bonobo spin in San Francisco on my birthday.. SF was a breathe of fresh air.. it was excellent to see so many familiar faces that i had been missing for far too long. Contrary to popular belief, Simon Greene is nasty on the decks and i wrecked myself on the dancefloor for hours.
its ok josh, i still love you, and thanks for coming to the bay area sidewalk rage-a-thon. everyone check out this weeks sack of songs over at bwank… the feist remix is blazing!!
it was good to visit, but damn i’m glad to rid myself of the hippies running rampant. love em, but hate em. i checked out this years “Power to the Peaceful” festival in golden gate and took a sampling of societies finest. hope you all enjoy.
should have a multimedia piece done by mid next week..
also, prspctv.net is getting a facelift, boobjob, and tummytuck.
hello, stoned peaceful and lovely bay area.

its been over a week since i’ve last posted.. the fourth of july was explosive in more ways than one. thankyou uncle T for the food, and the Metoyer’s for their unflenching hospitality year after year.
Jose Cuervo, Captain Morgan, and whatever that tequila was with a reindeer on the label – thanks for the date with Bud’s toilet.
had a chance to hang out with Mustafah Abdulaziz today and i know i’ve plugged him in the past, but i’ll say it again. This kid is one to look out for, and i wish him and his beautiful fiance Lori all the best that life has to offer.. really cant emphasize what a pleasure it was to spend the afternoon amongst excellent photographers, and of course, jazz music.
in other news, my iPhone is better than your wireless device.
here are pictures from my life. wherever you are, i hope things are well, and you’ve got either a smile or a laugh bubbling to the surface.
life is good.
thankyou Mustafah Abdulaziz, general pimp and slightly above average photographer, for the title.
*disclaimer: mustafah abdulaziz is an absolute stud photographer, and you should check ot his work*
this weekend saw visits to pastis with nat, bryant park with a slew of unemployed yet highly entertaining interns, a tour de force of hipster nation williamsburg where i will be moving in under a week (success), mice running across apartment floors in the west village, and the smell of something that died in the new york subway.
i watched a thunderstorm from my raised train platform in queens strike down into manhattan. that was pretty spectacular. i was out for the night and didnt bring the strap.. but speaking of, i’m really proud of nyc leica owners.. i bump into at least one a day. i have 5 rolls of 35 and 1 roll of 120 shot on the seagull that need to be run.. thats on the list for this week.
sat and listened to the not exactly world famous new york jazz collective for the second time this weekend in washington square park with xstina and her friend
“throw out your prescriptions, fire your psychiatrist. sunday afternoons – come here for your therapy”

back to the grind. class starts in the morning and i’m really (not) excited.
with class starting i dont know how many diatribes i’ll be inspired to write, but photos on the otherhand will be flowing. thats about the only thing i’ll be doing for the next 16 weeks. less words, more photos.
i will also be switching over to my domain, with a newly designed blog to accompany a newly designed portfolio. thanks for the constant support.. i watch the hits grow and am flattered that people are taking interest in this page.
hope this finds everyone well
boston university metriculation.. this kind of shit makes me laugh.
