my time in new york city is nearing a very imminent close.. currently with 5 days to go, including the one i’m currently spending in front of a computer screen. i’m not devistated, panicky, or frustrated. my time here has shown me where i am headed in the future, and where i will eventually make my mark. i feel that i’m working my way through a tangible dream, one so much realer than the pipedream i was cruising through just 6 months ago.
it has been a great experience showing this town to the people i care most about, and i’m thankful that you all had the chance to make it out. i jus finished up an amazing 4 days with JM3 and RA at the pad, doing what we do best. the shoot was an overwhelming success and i hope to make an annoucement about its future very soon. i’m excited to see what happens.
a week prior to that was spent indulging in all fine things with a very fine lady. i miss you, but there is so much more in store-and i’m excited for whats to come.
back in boston on saturday. back in new york august 08.

the prime time of your life. now.
suggested listening: “Homework LP” by Daft Punk
i will start off by saying simply, see Daft Punk live.
it will change your life, and most likely your playlists, forever. i was fortunate enough to see the Rapture open up for Daft Punk at Coney Island, the last summer it will actually be “Coney Island” on a misty summer night and it was the best show i’ve ever seen. show reviews across the blogosphere are also having trouble relating it to any previous live experience.. i’ll never forget it!
tomorrow is my last day at the vii photo agency. not only do i feel that it has helped my photography progress, but the entire experience has afforded me an invaluable context that i am coming to frame my life around. i know how things work, where i want to take my career, and how to do it. thanks to ron, chris, lauren, gary aleks, david, sarah, nadia, frank, nick and the janitors at 236 w27th st for making this summer so amazing. its over. one blink. a few shutters. days turned into weeks, and now 3 months later i feel like a completely new person.
a beautiful girl is flying in thursday to quell the pain of ending at vii.. cant wait to see her.
big shoot is coming together for the end of the summer.. it will be huge.. great minds are converging on brooklyn to produce one of the most thrilling ediorials the world has ever seen. real talk.

life is like a song. at last. damn etta really says it sometimes. things are good in the bk, hope this finds everyone grinning quietly to themselves about something glorious only they can fully appreciate. did anyone realize it was almost august. i didnt. days have been flipping past almost as quickly as the sidewalk traffic up broadway from chelsea to the condenast building at 4 times sq. which is where i was today. in my “about me” it mentions a little magazine known globally as the gentleman’s quarterly. i stepped inside the GQ office for the first time today.. took one of those long deep breaths that help put life into perspective. that deep breath was quickly interrupted by Andy, the online editor, who snatched up two cdr’s from my idle hands – and left just as quickly with a smile and a “good day.”
i need that feeling again. maybe one day i’ll get there. what is life without the impossible odds and goals?
mustafah was in town and crashed at the daieli. (dopest apartment i’ll ever live in)
he doesnt like terry richardson because he shoots porn. i like terry richardson because he makes money with a camera.
maybe one day i’ll get there. what is life without the impossible odds and goals? grin.
on a related note, i’ve begun to realize someone is going to have to tie my ankles to an 18 wheeler to get me back to boston. i dont want to leave.
here are some photos, shot on velvia 100 and provia 400f in new york city and the surrounding burroughs. the last ones are from the FTX
